Joe Kent says a first strike by the world’s only superpower would knock down the last barrier for everyone else, with fallout reaching from ballistic missiles aimed at Europe to radicalized attackers on American streets:
“If the sole superpower in the world uses one, we’ve opened Pandora’s box that makes it basically acceptable for anyone to use a nuclear weapon as well.”
Trump publicly ruled out nuclear weapons on Iran last month, and holding that line is what keeps the box shut.
