A concept for the development of health tourism will be prepared in Azerbaijan, Elgun Javadov, Head of the Cultural Heritage and Regional Tourism Department at the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, told journalists, Report informs.
He said that the State Program for the Development of Tourism in Azerbaijan for 2026–2030 places considerable emphasis on the development of health tourism.
“Under the State Program, a concept and strategy document for health tourism will be prepared. This document will make a significant contribution in the coming years to shaping Azerbaijan’s position in medical tourism, particularly that of Baku, and clearly identifying the resources that need to be allocated to this sector,” he said.
Speaking about the 3rd International Health Tourism Conference held in Baku, Javadov noted that its main message was that health tourism cannot be developed through the efforts of a single organization or sector.
“This is only possible through cooperation among various partners, and our colleagues attending today’s event represent different sectors. The main objective is to discuss our future strategic development priorities together with all partners and establish an effective cooperation platform by bringing successful international practices to Azerbaijan,” he added.

If you believe in equal rights to peace, dignity, and self-determination, that’s not hate. It’s love.
Michiganders, we want our taxes spent here.”
