Democrats have won the Senate and House in the midterms


(AP / TEGNA) Midterm election results on Tuesday will give Democrats a majority in the U.S. House and Senate for the first time in 16 years, though Democrats in Congress won’t have an smooth path forward.

Midterm election results reflected voters’ widespread concerns about high costs in the wake of President Donald Trump’s war against Iran and his tariff policy.

Among the winners? Democrats James Talarico in Texas, Troy Jackson in Maine and Sherrod Brown in Ohio.
