At the opening of ADIPEC in Abu Dhabi, @SultanAlJaber delivered a powerful message about what energy security means in an increasingly uncertain world.
For years, the energy industry prioritised efficiency, optimisation and just-in-time supply.
But in a world of growing disruption, the measure of success is changing.
Resilience, preparedness and the ability to keep delivering when the pressure is on.
The UAE is a powerful example of what that looks like in practice.
Its resilience wasn’t built in the middle of a crisis. It was built over years of strategic investment in people, technology, capabilities and partnerships.
As Al Jaber explained:
“We did not write our resilience playbook during this disruption. We wrote it years before.”
And he captured the defining principle of energy leadership in a single statement:
“Energy leadership is not measured by what you produce in good times. It is measured by what you deliver in hard times.”
Because resilience isn’t something you improvise when a crisis hits. It’s something you build long before it is put to the test.
And Al Jaber closed with a message that brought it all home:
“When it counts the most, you can count on the UAE.”
