Iran claims it has made a major breakthrough in its missile program by developing the ability to use a long-range ballistic missile against a moving target.
IRGC Brigadier general Ali Belali told Iran’s Fars news that the capability was achieved in recent days and that more progress is expected.
Based on our analysis, Iran may have tested the anti-ship Qasem Basir missile, which has a range of 1,200 km and electro-optical guidance, or the Khalij Fars missile.
Iran may deploy such missiles in a potential future war with the US.
