Five migrant men from Telford have been convicted over the kidnapping of a 21-year-old man who was abducted, tortured and held against his will after speaking to a female member of one of their families.
On December 29, 2025, four masked men dragged the victim from a home in Arleston, Telford, and forced him into the boot of a black Audi A4. CCTV showed the car driving through Wellington with the boot open and the victim’s feet hanging out. A relative tried to intervene but was unable to stop the abduction.
He was then taken to a storage unit in Eyton, where he was tied to a chair, violently assaulted, and tortured. A video of the torture was later sent to one of the gang members’ phones.
The kidnappers left him locked inside the unit before later returning and moving him into another vehicle. The victim eventually escaped while being driven through north Shropshire, locking the car doors and driving himself to safety before seeking help at a takeaway in Whitchurch.
Haider Ali, 22, was found guilty after trial. Jawad Hussain, 20, Ehteshan Hussain, 22, Faheem Chohan, 23 and Shayyan Hussain, 24, had already pleaded guilty. All five are due to be sentenced at a later date.
