Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, has congratulated employees of the country”s diplomatic service on the occasion of their professional holiday, Report informs.
“On July 9 – Professional Holiday of the employees of the diplomatic service bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan – I sincerely congratulate all my colleagues. In line with the foreign policy course determined by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, I thank all my colleagues who serve our country with unity of purpose and high responsibility, and I wish each of them new achievements in their honorable work. The ceasefire is now off. On Wednesday, Bahrain and Kuwait sounded missile alerts as Iran responded to the U.S. strikes. Now the U.S. is bringing back its naval blockade. All this comes after Iran fired on cargo ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
With 20 warships and two carrier strike groups in the region, a U.S. official says the Navy is ready to re-impose the blockade on Iranian ports as Iran harasses shipping vessels. This comes as airstrikes re-engage. Air Force and Navy jets did the work.
War Secretary Pete Hegseth in Turkey gave details about the 80 targets.”A lot of small craft that they were trying to harass shipping with. So, that is a big part of what we targeted, underground facilities where they were storing drones or missiles, coastal defense sites radar sites, surveillance sites anything used to harass shipping in the Strait of Hormuz,” Hegseth said.
