Despite a US-sponsored agreement paving the way for peace between Lebanon and Israel, the actual situation on the ground is unchanged. Israel continues to occupy southern Lebanon, and launched targeted strikes there over the weekend. Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu visited the occupied area and vowed his army will not withdraw as long as Hezbollah is still there.

DEVELOPING: Suspected Armed Boarding Incident off Yemen
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has issued an advisory after a merchant vessel reported being illegally boarded off the coast of Yemen.
According to the report, a small craft carrying four individuals armed with rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) approached the vessel. The boarders reportedly damaged the bridge and adjacent compartments after gaining access.
The crew has retreated to the vessel’s citadel (anti-piracy safe room) and is reported to be safe while awaiting assistance.
