A review of data available from MarineTraffic.com‘s network of automatic identification system (AIS) receivers across the region shows a total of 8 vessels made the transit through the Strait of Hormuz over the last 24 hours, with 4 ships using the Iranian traffic separation scheme and 4 ships hugging coastal Oman, using the route established by the U.S. Project Freedom. There may have been other vessels that transited without their AIS transponder active and are not shown here.
