American rapper Kanye West, also known as Ye, will perform in Tbilisi on June 12, Starring Georgia, a state-run project organizing the event, announced on May 6.

The planned Tbilisi show comes amid the cancellation of several European dates following backlash over the rapper’s antisemitic, racist, and pro-Nazi remarks.

The Ministry of Culture, which manages Starring Georgia, described West in a Facebook post announcing the event as “one of the most important and influential figures in 21st-century music.”

The live show is set to take place at Tbilisi’s Dinamo Arena. Tickets have yet to go on sale.

West’s shows have recently been canceled in several European countries, including Poland and Switzerland. The rapper also postponed a show in Marseille, France, after local authorities voiced opposition. The United Kingdom has banned him from entering the country to headline London’s Wireless festival.

The rapper has made a series of controversial statements and actions, including saying “I love Nazis,” expressing admiration for Adolf Hitler, selling T-shirts featuring a swastika on his website, and releasing a track titled Heil Hitler last year, which was banned by several streaming platforms.

In January 2026, he took a full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal, saying, “I am not a Nazi or an antisemite” and “I love Jewish people,” and attributed his earlier remarks to his bipolar disorder.
