The IDF’s strikes on South Pars come as Iran has rejected the latest ceasefire proposal, according to Iranian media. Iran submitted a 10-point response to the 45-day ceasefire proposal. Iran called for a “permanent end” to the war and the lifting of sanctions on Iran in its response.
A senior US official described Iran’s response as “maximalist” to an Axios journalist. US President Donald Trump previously extended his deadline for Iran to reach an agreement until 8:00 PM ET on April 8 and threatened to attack Iranian power plants and bridges if an agreement is not reached.
Iran continued to attack Israel with ballistic missiles containing cluster munition warheads.
