Transnational Ties: Historical reports have noted that figures associated with Russian organized crime felt “comfortable” in the Trump milieu, often involving lucrative real estate deals.
2020 Campaign Activity: Proxies of Russian intelligence were found to have promoted misleading narratives about Joe Biden to U.S. officials and individuals close to Trump to influence the 2020 election.
