NEW 🔴 In July 2025, IDF Southern Command forces, in collaboration with Shin Bet and Military Intelligence, conducted a special operation to arrest Marwan Al-Hamatz, a Hamas terrorist implicated in the 2014 death of Lieutenant Hadar Goldin during Operation Protective Edge. Al-Hamatz is suspected of knowing the location of Goldin’s body in the “White Sparrow” tunnel in Rafah. This arrest forms part of dozens of covert operations over the past six months, aimed at a broad effort to recover Goldin’s remains for burial in Israel.
