Is there really such a thing as too spicy? Find out at the Hot Sauce Expo this weekend at Industry City in Brooklyn.
Now in its 11th year, the Hot Sauce Expo is expected to turn up the heat with 50 of the top Hot Sauce companies across North America, including those featured on the YouTube series “Hot Ones.”
“We are back in the best city in the world,” said Steve Seabury, owner of the hot sauce company High River Sauces and producer of the Hot Sauce Expo. “NYC foodies are ready for the ultimate spice fest and we couldn’t be more stoked for our new venue Industry City on the Brooklyn waterfront. The camaraderie and enthusiasm of the attendees create a vibrant and welcoming environment, making the NYC Hot Sauce Expo more than just an event — it’s a celebration of a shared love for heat and flavor.”
The expo has something for everyone, whether you hit the spice hard or need something a bit milder. There will be opportunities for hot sauce connoisseurs to try out hot sauces from their favorite brands. Guests can also enter the Stage Of Doom for fiery eating challenges, including Puckerbutt Pepper Company’s “The Guinness Book of World Records Carolina Reaper Eating Challenge” with its $1000 Grand Prize.
