Where to watch Shark Week in the US

Shark Week airs on the Discovery Channel at 8 p.m. ET in the US from July 7 to 13. If you don’t have cable, you can catch the live streams through Max or Sling TV.

Max will be your cheapest option today. Subscriptions start at $9.99 a month, and the streaming service shows select live TV across various Warner Bros. Discovery properties, including several sporting events and some CNN coverage. If you’re looking for a more elaborate live TV cable-alternative, Sling TV‘s Sling Blue plan also live streams the Discovery Channel. Subscriptions start at $40 a month, but you can usually get about half off your first month if you’re a new subscriber.

How to watch Shark Week from anywhere

If you’ll be traveling outside the US during any part of Shark Week, you can still access your subscriptions using a VPN. Short for virtual private networks, VPNs allow you to change your device’s virtual location to keep up with all of your usual websites and apps from anywhere. Plus, they’re instant ways to boost your online privacy. This recommendation will be best for Americans who are simply traveling abroad at the moment since the services we’ve highlighted today require US forms of payment.

Our go-to suggestion for the VPN-curious is ExpressVPN. It’s beginner-friendly, so you don’t need to worry about a learning curve, and it comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. You can find all the details in our ExpressVPN review, and keep reading to learn how to use it.

How to watch Shark Week with a VPN

• Sign up for a VPN if you don’t already have one.
• Install it on the device you’re planning to watch on.
