Japan’s first participation at Olympic games was in July 1912 at the 5th Olympic Games in Stockholm. The following Olympic games were held in Japan in the past: Tokyo, Summer Games 1964 Sapporo, Winter Games 1972 Nagano, Winter Games 1998 Tokyo, Summer Games 2020 (held in 2021)
