Train drivers in Spain have announced a nationwide strike over chaos and unsafe conditions on the rail network.
Following two deadly rail disasters in Spain, the tragic death of a train driver in Gelida, and the deaths of 42 people in Adamuz, the Spanish Union of Train Drivers (SEMAF) has declared a general strike across the entire railway sector.
Drivers say Spain’s rail network is no longer safe for either workers or passengers due to systematic negligence by the government.
