Firefighters in Brooklyn were busy battling a pair of fires on Friday night, the causes of which remain under investigation.
The Fire Department said the first one happened at about 8 p.m. on April 4 inside a two-story dwelling at 1548 Carroll St. in Crown Heights.
The first arriving FDNY units encountered heavy fire consuming the building’s first floor. No serious injuries were reported, and the fire was brought under control at about 8:40 p.m.

A short time later, firefighters rushed to the Cooper Houses in Williamsburg to battle a fire that left 10 people with minor injuries.
The FDNY said the blaze ignited just after 9:15 p.m. inside a seventh-floor apartment within the NYCHA complex at 340 Frost St.

More than 100 firefighters responded to the incident. Most of the injured victims suffered from smoke inhalation after being caught in a hallway; they were brought to local hospitals for treatment.
Two hose lines were used to knock down the main body of fire, the FDNY said.
Fire Marshals are now investigating the causes of both blazes.
